A screen-matched Inventor Wallace stop-motion puppet from Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham’s Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. Wallace was dressed for the occasion when he completed his latest invention, the smart gnome Norbot, before unveiling him to a decidedly sceptical Gromit.

Distinctive markings on and around the lapel of Wallace’s coat screen-match him to the scene in his basement where he completes his smart gnome invention. Aardman characters wearing an outfit different from their standard attire will typically have only one version created, as is the case with this one-of-a-kind puppet: the only Inventor Wallace in existence.

Designed and created by four-time Academy Award winner Nick Park, the beloved Wallace and Gromit have defied convention for more than three decades, cementing their place as cinema’s unlikeliest—though no less legendary—action duo. Without superpowers or violence, the cheese-loving inventor and his loyal canine companion have secured their place amongst the greats through ingenuity, humour, and heart. Presented here is one half of that celebrated partnership, dressed to do what he does best: invent.

The latest chapter in Aardman’s beloved Wallace & Gromit franchise, Vengeance Most Fowl, was met with widespread critical acclaim, earning numerous awards and nominations while delighting audiences with the return of one of animation’s most memorable villains. The film continued Aardman’s tradition of inventive storytelling, meticulous craftsmanship, and distinctly British humour that has made Wallace & Gromit a global favourite for more than three decades.

Wallace’s head is moulded from clay, while his body is made of silicone to facilitate smooth repositioning by the animators. He’s crafted over a full jointed metal armature. His teeth, shirt collar, tie, pen, and pencil are fast-cast resin, while his eyes are plastic. He comes displayed on a wooden base.

Inventor Wallace is, as he would say, in "smashing" condition.
